Since money is what drives American society, most people are looking for a way to get rich. Generally they don’t see this as happening with their current job since it has a fixed wage or salary amount tied to it that prevents them from making more regardless of how hard they work. The internet has made it extremely easy for various news and research groups to conduct surveys and polls about different products and opinions. Many of the companies that manage these pay people to register with their site and fill out the surveys. While you won’t be raking in millions by answering a few simple questions from your computer, you can make some extra spending money.

EBay is another popular method of making money online since people can search for things around their home that they no longer want or need. Within a few minutes they can have the item posted online complete with a picture and description for anyone in the world to review and potentially purchase. Although you may do this to simply clean the junk out of your house or prevent unneeded things from ending up at the landfill, some people use this as their sole career making thousands of dollars each month. This is especially true for people that make products themselves and then use eBay to sell them.

Making money online can also be achieved by using your creativity skills to write, draw or design things. A number of different companies and businesses hire freelance artists and writers to complete projects for them such as designing a logo or writing content for a website. In addition, there are freelance webmaster positions that allow you to make money by designing a website and managing it for an individual or business.

Serving as a customer care associate online is another possible way to achieve your dreams by making money online. Traditionally companies had large rooms full of people that answered the phone everyday to provide assistance when someone called to ask a question, make a reservation or issue a complaint. While some of these inbound call centers have been moved to overseas locations, more and more of them are being redirected via the Internet. This provides you with the opportunity to sit at home in front of your computer wearing a headset and still be able to provide the caller with the information or services they need. Of course the only drawback to this method is the fact that most people are paid for these positions hourly rather than based on the number of calls they receive.

Finally making money online is possible by serving as a virtual assistant. Similar to an assistant in a physical setting you are responsible for answering the phone, following up with customers, sending invoices, faxing, emailing, maintaining files and more. This simply allows you to do it from the comfort of your pajamas rather than a professional business suit.
