Use Knowledge To Increase Web Marketing

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

One of the favorite marketing methods being used today is article marketing, allowing business owners to be perceived as an expert in their field while they help internet search engines find their site. In order to be successful on the internet a business needs visitors and one method of gaining visitors is being found in search engine results. Search engines have basic criteria about the position of a website based on certain factors, one of which is the popularity of the site.

How the search engines determine a site's popularity is somewhat of a secret, but one method that is talked about by search engine owners is determined by not only how many people visit the site, but how many other, related sites sponsor links to the site. The operative word here is relative and sites that relate to the site, linking to it are considered relative and give the site an extra vote in its popularity.

To take advantage, some business owners write articles about their business. Whether it is about the specific items they carry or about how they conduct business and then freely share their articles with others. Since publishers of ezines are constantly prowling the internet for information they can publish on their sites for free, if the author of an article operates a business to which the article's information pertains, they must be an expert, or at least be knowledgeable about the topic, and they publish the article.

The secret, so to speak, is that in order to use the article for free, information about the author must be included with the article and this usually contains a hot link to the author's website. The person conducting the web search can find an informative article pertaining to their interests leading them to the ezine, which receives a boost in visitor count. The author of the article gets a link back to their site from the ezine publisher as well as the potential for the visitor to click on the link and head over to their site and become a customer.

With this scenario, everyone seems to come out a winner. However, there are certain rules to follow when writing these articles that will first of all, attract ezine publishers to want to use them, lead readers to believe the author knows what they are talking about. They also need to be seen by the search engines as being informative and not simply another method of spamming the search engines by using key words over and over again.

Many ezine publishers actually read the articles before they publish them since they are providing a benefit to their readers. If the articles are more about simply drawing the attention of search engines they will not make the cut. There are a few publishers who simply use a search for the keyword and publish articles containing that word without reading the materials. This puts off their readers as well as the search engines and usually goes nowhere. Information sells, and quality article information can sell a site to the search engines.

How to Research and Evaluate Potential Residual Income Programs

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

Finding programs that offer the potential for residual income is easy to do. A simple search with most any search engine will bring you literally millions of websites that will clamor for your attention. Yet when it comes to finding just the right program for you, individually, suddenly the ease of finding what you are looking for is somewhat curtailed. Yet do not despair, how to research and evaluate potential residual income programs is a questions that can be answered in detail!

First and foremost, take an inventory of your interests and then seek for programs that seem to be the closest matches. Remember that the more interest you have in a program the more likely you are to dedicate time and effort to make it work and thus the more likely you will be to make money with residual income.

Next, find a product that will provide you with the revenue stream you can live with. Some will have a steady income potential, while others are seasonal and thus will have spikes when income will be markedly high only to taper off for months at a time. Riding out the lows and profiting off the highs is vital to making money with these programs, if you are able to ride out the lows. Those unable to find a steady income stream that matches their expectations may wish to consider signing up for more than one opportunity, thus generating a number of income streams.

A vital step surprisingly overlooked by the majority of those in search for the most promising residual income programs is the market research. You do not need to commission fancy studies, but instead conduct your own market research for any given product you are thinking of making the main staple of your online endeavor to see if the market is already heavily saturated with others selling the same or a similar product of this kind. If this is the case, you will be wise to move on to something else instead.

As you research residual income potential, you will find that services – rather than products – have one of the highest potential for generating residuals. Whether you are selling insurance products or financial services, the fact that consumers who purchase such services usually develop a severe case of company loyalty works decidedly in your favor and you can count on much repeat business in the future.

Shifting gears, you may consider the product side of the equation by taking a close look at wholesaling. This is a highly competitive field, which in some cases might be a risk, but also one where you have the chance of making a lot of money if you are closely tied in to the consumer trends of the current market conditions and ensure that you have the wares to sell to retailers ahead of the trends.

It is evident that residual income opportunities abound online, and for those inclined to do so, these types of business opportunities will at times also translate well into an offline kind of business!

How-To Develop A Successful Marketing Network Ezine

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

An ezine has become on the most effective marketing tools on the internet today. The ezine is also referred to as an email magazine or electronic newsletter that’s only available through email and/or a website. There are hundreds of thousands of ezines on various subjects available on the internet that is free to the public. The development of a marketing network ezine is a perfect method to build an opt-in list of potential clients for a particular product and/or service. Ezines are also an exciting way to express creativity and enthusiasm for a marketing network product and/or service that’s being offered to the public. One of the primary reasons ezines are viewed with enthusiasm is that the subscriber base are opt-in members. In other words, the client that a marketing networker sends the ezine to has asked to become a subscriber to the cyber-publication.

The following three suggestions will discuss the best methods in developing a successful marketing network ezine:

1) The first suggestion is to develop a focused ezine. Often when people write, they include too much information in the email or ezine. Additionally, do not try and address too many marketing network topics in the ezine. Spread topics out through proceeding issues of the ezine.
2) The second suggestion involves the development of an impressive statement in the marketing network ezine’s subject line. Often emails are not read because the email does not stand out in comparison with other emails in a potential client’s inbox.
3) The third suggestion for a successful marketing network ezine is to continually offer incentives (i.e. gifts, free reports, or tips) and change the ezine’s content for potential clients. Keep them wanting to read a specific marketing network ezine.

There are a variety of tutorials on the internet that will go through the actual steps of building a marketing network ezine. Basically, all you need to start your own ezine are an auto responder and broadcast feature to go with, enabling the marketing networker to reach out to massive subscribers. When people subscribed to a particular marketing network ezine, the interested party has an interest in its focus.

Another method for a successful marketing network ezine is accomplished through advertising. This aspect is what makes magazines popular through creative ads, magazine publishers gain profit. This is the same with a marketing network ezine. Of course, registering with the popular search engines will also help generate traffic for the marketing network ezine. In addition, advertising in paper magazines and newspapers, and other business related method will help create a successful marketing network ezine through direction to the ezine.

Always remember that maintaining a successful marketing network ezine is one the most important aspects for a marketing network business. An alternative for a successful marketing network ezine is to post short articles on marketing network topics. This alternative will provide the readers will valuable information their needs. Some may view ezines as a passing trend, but the same was said about the internet when it was first introduced. Ezines are the newest way to quickly and effectively provide information to the general public, and any person with the passion for a particular subject can run one.

Internet Business Plan Development: the Importance of the Main Idea

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

Every business venture, regardless of its venue or its objective, begins with a basic idea, the simpler the better. Focus and expansion are much easier from the get-go this way. Most importantly, this serves as the business foundation, without which the business couldn’t manage or even exist. The main idea is the root of the entire business.

Where does this idea [usually] come from? Several sources are possible: a television show, radio broadcast, a song, a piece of literature, social issues, politics, the ongoing development of technology, an art style, research, a personal experience, a movie, a child’s imagination, hearsay or conversation, even an innovation brough about through necessity, such as a means to make home chores more convenient. Whatever the case, this idea should be unique and boast a twist that allows the idea to stand out on its own in the merchandising and marketing fields that it represents. In the end, this idea must be flexible and open enough to growth in a variety of ways.

The first step to developing the main premise of the business venture one the basic is established is to conduct research in the goven field in order to ascertain the current goings-on so that the direction of the business, even the nature of the idea itself, is innovative enough to promote an aspect of the industry that hasn’t yet been touched or explored. In this way, the business has room to move and reduces the threat of competition, especially those opposing ventures that are very persistent. Even if the competition does eventually incorporate such developments in relation to the new aspect, the business that had started it will be forever known as the leader in the creation of a sub-industry that would significantly expand an already existing one. This distinction is one of the major goals behind the main idea and should be considered right away so that it is not overlooked.

The data found through the research, then, allows the business owners to progress from there. That information determines the further direction of the business necessary to keep it on it’s particular path so it doesn’t delve too far into the premise of another related business venture. This phase of plan development involves any modifications that are necessary to adjust the details of the main idea so that its uniqueness remains prominent. This research ultimately specifies and clarifies the ongoing purpose of the business.

The idea copyright and registration come next and is critical so that the business owner is protected legally. If she or he isn’t and her or his idea is stolen and used by someone else, the venture is over. Also established here are the Mission Statement, Philosophy, and procedural policies. The identity of the new business and its particular role in both the industry and the general business world begin to emerge.

At this point, the idea can go in any direction. This is where the business website is designed and laid out in meticulously detailed plan that will assist in its creation. The idea, which had earlier began as a mere mental abstraction, now becomes physical reality.

Using the Internet to Earn Residual Income

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

For the savvy Internet entrepreneur, there has never been a more profitable time to be in business. Making money online in some ways is like shooting fish in a barrel and the fact that anyone can take hold of one of the many business opportunities offered – whether they have a lot of business experience or next to none – and with little or no investment build a small business empire is the stuff of e-zines and e-books.

To many, residual income is the name of the game and using the Internet to earn residual income is surprisingly simple. For example, you already own and operate an online business, you will find that tapping into one of the many available affiliate programs is a surefire way of creating a separate revenue stream that requires next to no work on your part and complements the business you are already running. Becoming an affiliate is easy to do, usually free of charge, and there is little more required than placing a merchant’s link onto your website.

When a consumer visits the merchant via your link and makes a purchase, you earn money. If you are very successful, you will find that before long you will qualify to receive payment not only for the sales made through your website link but you may also receive the option to sign up for a program that will remunerate you for the visitors you send to the merchant’s website.

If you are just starting out online and do not already operate an established business, remember that patience is a virtue, and anyone who tells you that you can get rich overnight on the ‘Net is lying to you. Driving traffic to your website is a gradual process – if you do it right – and not a feast or famine kind of activity. Spend time, effort, and perhaps even some money in making sure that the search engines like your site and then make it user friendly.

Those in the know have found that the best way to consistently make money off the Internet is to create a number of separate revenue streams that will always be ongoing. Remember that small streams will eventually combine to make a raging river and just because in and of itself an income opportunity might look modest, when combined with your other income generating methods of making money you stand the chance of making a decent living online.

Join desirable and reputable affiliate programs and keep an eye to cultivating long term relationships with these vendors rather than hopping from merchant to merchant in an effort to ride the latest fad. Consistency pays off with residual income, while short term linkage can only produce short term income, which it extremely limiting.

As the money begins to pour in, consider reinvesting it in your online efforts and increasing the strength of your web presence to eventually commandeer a larger portion of the daily visitor numbers that are found on the World Wide Web. You may consider doing so with your own personal store front and thus adding products as well as affiliate networking to your income portfolio.

Increasing Your Online Residual Income Opportunities

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

Finding online programs that induct you to the fast track for seemingly unlimited earning capacities is simple, but increasing your online residual income opportunities takes a bit of doing and just a smidgen of know-how. Imagine the possibilities associated with not only growing your steady cash flow potential, but also cultivating a vibrant residual system that will pay you long after your direct involvement in a deal or transaction has been paid!

From the onset it is imperative to realize that any website which promises you to make money while you sleep, get rich quick overnight, and become a millionaire doing this line of work is lying to you and most likely is trying to do little more than get you to pay $19.99 or some such amount in an effort to sell you a secret that allegedly will make all of your dreams come true. Think about it! If there truly was such a secret, the person in possession of it would not be hawking it on a badly designed website using stock graphics.

The only way to increase your online residual income opportunities is through dedication and hard work and just a bit of business savvy you can get yourself without paying one red cent. Begin by building a website that is user-friendly as well as search engine friendly. You may then use it to sell the product you may have decided to sell. Conversely, you also have the option of signing up with a multi level marketing (MLM) company which will not only build you a website already populated with all the links you need and commerce tools you will require, but the company will even hold the product for you in their warehouse pending the sales!

Maximize your income potential and begin your road to residual income by recruiting other individuals to do the same thing. Invest your time in training them, helping them to build an online presence, and also coach and encourage them as needed. You will be rewarded with a small percentage of their overall profits, which will continue to trickle in long after your training and grooming of this individual will cease. What is more, if you sign up with a MLM company that has a generous remuneration plan, you will find that the people they recruit will also pay a small percentage of their profits to you, and thus if you are a successful recruiter who finds, grooms, and then turns out other successful recruiters, you are in the fast lane to making some serious residual income!

Self promotion and the utmost care in choosing a product and company are key components to increasing your online residual income opportunities, as faddish products, companies with bad reputations or a less than generous reward and remuneration structure will rarely attract others either as customers or potential recruits. In the same vein, ensure that the market is not overly saturated with the product you are selling for otherwise even the best developed plan is doomed to fail.

Tips To Protect Yourself From Online Business Scams

Copyright © Steven Becker http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

As products and services appear on the Internet and there is proof that money can be made through these venues, copy cats, hackers, and scam artists are quick to create twin sites that will easily fool consumers and those looking for work at home opportunities. Bank information, personal information (SSN), and physical money are taken fraudulently creating victims of fraud, Internet scam and identity theft. Far too many people believe that this cannot happen to him or her, as this is just not the case.

The Despicable Scam Artists
If you were to take the time to look into the numerous scams and bogus business offers found online it would turn your stomach. It is disgraceful and frightening to see those online surveys, government grants; mystery shoppers and data entry clerks all make the list for scams online. Opportunities that were once available are now cause for red flags and alarms when searching on the Internet.

The Unfortunate Victims
The appeal of working from home can often prove to be more harmful than helpful for many who become victims of fraud through false business opportunities. Millions of dollars from career hopefuls are sent to online business addresses and promises of careers for home businesses are left unmet as a scam artist takes the money and runs. Once you become a victim of fraud you become full of paranoia. You no longer have a trust for businesses in general. It is an awful feeling to think that there is not a single business remaining that you can put your own personal information and money into.

Guidelines For Scam Protection
Following these suggestions can keep you from becoming a victim. Prevention is the only way to help us and others to keep life for us safe as possible. If we take the time to protect ourselves, perhaps we can begin to deter those scammers, hackers and online thieves.
* Research a company or business prior to personal involvement. Look for records online showing proof that this is a legitimate business.
* Protect your personal information such as your social security number, home address, telephone, email, or bank account details.
* Do not send checks or other payments prior to receiving written information from the company.
* Search for details of a business through the better business bureau.

Prevention and Knowledge Is Key
Knowing how to protect yourself and your loved ones when searching for online opportunities is a must. Though the Internet is a useful tool it has transformed into a portal for thieves, predators, scam artist and other disgraceful types to prey on men, women and children alike. If we do not take precautions the cases of fraud and scam victims will continue to increase and the Internet will become an even greater threat to personal well-being. You can learn more about Internet scams on the Internet or through other media such as books at your local library. Arm yourself with knowledge and share it with those around you. Each and every person who is aware of Internet scams is another step towards ending it.

Job Opportunities Adrift In Cyberspace

Copyright © Steven Becker http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

Those who truly believe they can make a living working on the internet may be right, but finding the right opportunity on the internet will take research and common sense. Most job opportunities listed on the internet are examples of how people make money working online. Convincing others to send money to receive information about how to find work on the internet is one of the biggest opportunities there are. However, since that’s what you were doing when you stumbled across that job prospect, you probably already know how it is done.

Common sense is probably the most important thing you have that will save you time, money and disappointment. When reviewing job opportunities take an objective look at the promises and claims being made about the job and consider the possibility of being able to meeting the claims actually being made.

For example, many internet positions promise that working only a few hours a day can yield an income equivalent to a year’s salary every month. Think about that for a minute. You are being told that you can sit at your computer, in your pajamas for three or four hours a day and make a six-figure income. Consider the odds of this being a real possibility before sending the sponsor of the ad money for a list of jobs making these claims.

One of the biggest so-called job opportunities on the internet today is advertisements for secret shoppers. The ad talks about thousands of companies who use private individuals, “just like you” to go shopping, eat at restaurant and go to the movies and report back to them. Pay is promised to by upwards of $40 an hour for doing things you like to do and you get to keep everything you bought. Who wouldn’t want to become a secret shopper.

You realize that you can’t possible do this job eight hours a day, five days a week, but heck at $40 an hour, working only 20 hours a week is a pretty good paycheck, so you fill out the “application” and enclose your fee and wait for the assignments to come rolling in.

Usually what happens next is you receive a list of companies that at one point registered to use secret shoppers. However, they all have their own criteria and you will have to apply to each company before they will consider using you in their secret shopper program. That is if they still use them or if the company is still in business.

A few applicants actually get hired by a couple of companies as secret shoppers and find out that part time work can be eight to ten hours a month, if not less. Yes, you usually keep what you buy, as the legitimate companies will reimburse you for the purchases, provide you comply with all the procedures they set down for you to follow. Failing that, you have just experienced a shopping trip and it was all on your dime.

Exploring The Online Marketing Network

Copyright © Steven Becker http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

The internet and the World Wide Web (www) have attracted much attention since its appearance. The positive aspect of the internet is that businesses of all sizes have the same amount of exposure. Small business can now compete with the larger business in this relatively new environment. The internet is the most inexpensive marketing tool available in today’s business world, as well as the most cost-effective. The internet is essentially a sales channel, directed towards the consumer.

Placing a business on the internet, will give it incredible exposure, and let a business owner reach millions of users. This opportunity includes the online marketing networker as well. The internet is so much less expensive, compared to other forms of advertising. The online marketing networker could have a website built and up and running for a whole year for the same cost as one day's advertising in the classified section of a local newspaper. The online marketing networker’s message could be seen by people, from around the country and the world, for a fraction of the cost of any other marketing method. The online marketing networker will get more attention from the online prospect than any other method. The personal interaction is present which produces a very intimate selling situation.

Some people are uncomfortable with the internet, due to high tech phobias or to not understanding the associated jargon. The technology is not the relevant issue to the online marketing network. The relevant issue is that the internet represents a “high touch.” The internet provides the online marketing networker a one-to-one relationship with prospects and builds lasting relationships with consumers in a very personal and individualized manner.

The internet is a different marketing medium that requires its own rules and regulations for doing online marketing effectively. Instead of the advertisers sending a message to a targeted audience that acts or dismisses the call to action, online consumers seek out information and advertising. The consumers are the initiators of communication. Yet the internet is not a get-rich-quick scheme. Success on the internet requires full understanding of the concept, hard work, attention to detail, and constant promotional activity. The internet as a marketing tool is not about fancy graphics only; it's also about valuable industry information, professional marketing efforts and reliable hosting service, making it fast and easy to download information.

The online marketing networker requires a different approach for development of online marketing network website. The following are four tips for the online marketing networker:

1. Building a professional online marketing network website with compelling copy, with the sole objective of obtaining more leads, more sales, and increased profitability, using fine, yet reasonable graphics and scripts to make it rich and appealing to the site visitors.

2. Use powerful, proven marketing strategies and techniques that allow your website to recognize excellent results and concurrently cutting online marketing network costs.

3. Improve the performance of the online marketing network website and transform it into a persuasive money making vehicle.

4. Employ customized and innovative marketing campaigns to increase online marketing network exposure and secure consistently superior results from the sales and marketing efforts.

In order to begin your home business you have to make plans to get started. Without a plan you go nowhere or you go in circles accomplishing nothing. In order to begin your business on the right path you should come up with a business plan, a marketing plan and a home plan.  Your business plan is a necessary item that will be needed for loan applications, the hiring of employees, for business affiliates and personal goal setting. You want to have information such as what your business is named and what the mission of your business is. What is your product or service and who is it being made for. Who is your target customer base? What will it cost to make your product and what can you sell it for? What will be your end profit? These key pieces of information are needed especially when you require start up funds. These can be funds from a bank loan or an affiliate who is willing to become a financial backer of your company. Create a binder or portfolio for your business plan. Make copies and keep this accessible for times when it is needed.

Included in your business plan should be a marketing plan or an advertising campaign. How do you plan to provide the consumer public with information about your business, product or service? Will you be renting a billboard, running newspaper advertisements, magazine ads, television, radio and so on? Will you have a website or be running Internet ads such as those sponsored by Google ad sense or Microsoft ad center? What is the cost of each advertisement media? Do you have the funding for these advertising efforts or do you need outside funds? This once again shows any outside parties that you have done the needed research to know how you plan to reach the consumer public for sales. You can also include the percentages or charts that show success of similar advertising campaigns and how well your marketing choices will relate to your business.

A home plan is for the benefit of you and your family while your business takes shape. You have to be realistic in the facts that a business does not become a hit success over night. Money, time and effort are needed before you will see a solid flow of income from your home business. You need to be aware of your household budget per week and month. Be sure that you have at a minimum three months worth of savings to allow for household expenses including utilities, food, gas, hygiene items etc. This will allow you to apply other funds to your business without creating strife in your home. You may also want to maintain a part time job position at your current job or elsewhere. If your spouse works this may not be required. The exact plans for a household will vary on the specific family needs. Preparation is key to a successful business start up as well as successful home life as the transition from an outside job to a home based career take place.

How To Win At Affiliate Marketing

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

Affiliate marketing is the process of promoting the goods or services of another person in exchange for getting a commission every time that one of those goods or services is sold.   Affiliate marketing in this way can be a very easy way for a person to get something done and when it comes right down to it the low cost and easy time commitments that affiliate marketing brings to the table are exactly what people need when they are starting up a business. However, this does not mean that everyone that tries affiliate marketing is going to be successful at it, so even though it is one of the easiest ways to start a business online, you still need to know how to win at affiliate marketing.

Location

In real estate, location is the biggest thing. In affiliate marketing, location is also the biggest thing albeit in a different way. The location we are looking for in affiliate marketing is not the location of geography or region that real estate developers are interested in, but rather the location affiliate markets are looking for is the proper market to sell their products. Markets are targeted to different things and interested in different things and figuring out which markets are likely to like the products you are marketing is part of becoming a great affiliate marketer. You can make things a lot easier on yourself by ensuring that the affiliate marketing that you do is only directed at markets and people that are actually interested in those particular products.

Leverage

There is a very sad story in some affiliate marketing circles and it is the story of the person that did not understand leverage. This person came up with a fantastic marketing plan for affiliate marketing and tried it on one product. That plan worked great, but because the profits that it brought in were not enough to sustain a full time income, the person gave up and heartbreakingly went back to their old job.

What is the lesson here? The lesson is that people need to consider leverage when they consider how to win at affiliate marketing. Figuring out a strategy that works is hard, but once you have that strategy your next goal becomes to leverage the strategy by applying it to as many different products as possible.

If you can make $100 a week selling a certain product, why not start building up your infrastructure so that you end up making $10,000 a week eventually by selling 100 products that each make $100 a week?

Critical Thinking

Location and leverage are two examples of things that came about as a result of critical thinking. Someone was faced with a problem (too few people interested in the general public or too little profit from selling one product) and came up with a solution by thinking on their feet. Everything that you do in affiliate marketing will require this type of critical thinking and it would be impossible to go through the hundreds of different ways that this is already true of the field. Just remember to always re-evaluate the situation you are in and try to think critically about ways that you can make it better.

The 10 Deadly Sins of an Affiliate Marketing Article

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

At this point in time there is not an online entrepreneur left who does not recognize the immense power and promise that the use of an affiliate marketing article offers. Sure, text links and banner ads are great, but when it comes to creating the kind of advertising vehicle that consumers will hold on to and even pass on to others, you cannot beat article marketing! Of course, like any other good thing there are pitfalls to avoid.

As a matter of fact, the 10 deadly sins of an affiliate marketing article must be avoided at all cost, lest your company’s reputation will suffer!

1. Whatever you do with your affiliate marketing article, do not use it to spam a blog or a forum. Some self proclaimed marketers have attempted to use such articles as forum posts and while they might write different introductions for the article to make it look like an ad hoc posting in response to another forum poster, within a few short sentences it becomes painfully obvious that the post is little more than an unwelcome sales pitch.

2. Unless you are a seasoned wordsmith, have your affiliate marketing article ghostwritten. The sheer volume of badly written articles – be it diction, grammar, or punctuation – is legion and there is little more embarrassing than having your customers point out a number of mistakes and error.

3. Fact-check your articles. This is vital when you use statistical data but also quotes.

4. Keep it pithy. 400 to 500 words are more than sufficient to write a worthwhile piece of non fiction to market your company, good, or service. Exceeding the 800 word count is pushing it.

5. Do not put all of your advertising eggs in one basket but instead commission (if you use a ghostwriter) a number of articles that look at the topic and product from a number of different angles. This puts volume behind your marketing campaign and while one approach may not appeal to your readers, another one might have just the hook you need to get the reader to turn into a buyer.

6. Do not overdo the pitch in your affiliate marketing article. Sure, you want everyone to know that your products and company at the cat’s meow, but unless you tempter substance with advertising, you will not find too many readers.

7. Advertise one thing only per article. Choose your product, your company, or an email newsletter you are offering for free. Cutting down on the things marketed permit for the development of a great strategy throughout the article.

8. Forgetting to include an opt-in link to your mailing list or email newsletter subscription database is perhaps the most egregious of the 10 deadly sins of an affiliate marketing article. Each article that is not offering that option simply is not working hard enough for you!

9. Having too many articles that differ in tone. While some articles may lend themselves to be spunky but intellectual, the failure to have your article ghostwritten by one writer will lead to a number of different skill levels to craft your work. Instead, request that one freelancer be given the assignment to make sure the tone remains similar.

10. Last but not least, cutting and pasting freely available material from the Internet is a deadly sin that might not get you in trouble, but it will show that your company has nothing new to offer. This is not the impression you want your clientele to have of you, your product, or the company you represent!

Online Home Based Business Schedule

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

In order to run a successful online home based business, you need to create a work-at-home schedule that allows you to get all your work done each day. Even though you work from home, you still need to be productive in order to earn a living. If you are the type who procrastinates, then you may want to reconsider working from home. Those who are able to motivate themselves usually are successful. But this does not mean that people who lack self motivation skills can't learn, it may just be more difficult than for others. Creating a daily schedule may be necessary in order to maintain a steady pace.

In order to create an efficient schedule, you need to write down all the daily task that need to be accomplished during the day. Once you have these tasks written down, then you can begin to create a schedule. Based on the number of hours you want to work each day, you should set realistic times for completion so you aren't rushing through them. Instead, you can take your time to make sure they are done correctly. Many people believe they can accomplish more during the day than is actually possible, so learning how to budget time and gauge how much time each tasks takes can help you plan for your day.

Investing in a calendar, dry erase board, and other materials to create your schedule will help in the long run. Once you have a list, you can check off items as they are completed, add or subtract from the list, and determine how long you need to work each day. The more time you put into your business in the beginning, the more successful it will be. Online businesses are a wonderful opportunity for you to work from home, but you need to maintain a work ethic that is strong. Because you may have to complete various tasks that others in your previous job may have completed, you will find that there aren't enough hours in the day to get all the work done. This will change once your business is established, but you may need to put in extra hours in the evening and on weekends in order to make your business grow.

Online home businesses that sell products to others will require more work than selling services, or digital items such as books and manuals that can be downloaded onto a customer's computer. If you sell products on online auction sites or through a website, you will have to work out a packing and shipping schedule so you aren’t spending all of your time running to the post office to ship an order. Selecting one or two days a week to pack and ship items will help your work load tremendously. Depending on the popularity of your product, you may need to increase these days, especially around the holidays. When you stay focused on running your business and sticking to a schedule, you will find that success is not difficult to achieve.

Choosing Home Office Equipment For Your Business

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

When you begin preparing for your home business you want to be sure that you have all of the equipment that you need. The best way to do this is to make a list, prepare a budget for your equipment, and then begin shopping for your needed items. You want to consider a way to contact clients, keep records, send updates or shipment information and perform business research. As technology moves forward it is a must to have a computer for your home business. This is one piece of equipment that can perform many duties. You can do research online, store client records, send emails and copies of other needed information to your business affiliates. Choosing between a Mac and a PC is a personal choice. Visiting a local office supply store can help you to increase your knowledge of which computer system will best suit your needs. Price can also cause you to choose one system over another. You may be required to choose a model that is not quite your preference but will get the job done until your budget increases.

The next piece of equipment you will need to look into is a copier/printer/fax machine. You can find a machine that carries all of these in one piece or you can purchase each separately. These can be found at most local office supply stores. Prices will vary due to brand names and functions as well as your budget. Looking for a piece of equipment that carries all of these functions in one can save on space, which can be a must when working from a small home office. Once you have found this item you will want to look into a phone with an answering system. This may not be necessary as most people have a cellular phone with voicemail to perform the same function as a landline/ home phone line. Ensuring that you have a method of contact for business emergencies is very important. If there is an issue with a shipment or product you can be reached quickly for an immediate resolution to the problem.

You may already have a desk and chair for your home office. You want to be sure to look at those items. Are they comfortable and functional? Many people who sit at a desk and a computer for the day suffer from wrist, shoulder, neck, back and even leg pain. These pains are often due to the furniture that they are seated at. Ergonomics is the study of how an item connects to a person and how it affects the person’s health. Searching an ergonomic furnishings sight can offer solutions for your pain problems in a chair with proper back support or a wrist rest for your keyboard etc. These items may be more costly but they can prevent pain and discomfort as you work.

Price is not always a sign that a piece of equipment is better than another. You should look for reviews on a piece of equipment. You can do so online. Looking for positive feedback can help you to choose the right pieces of office equipment for your home business. Keep in mind that you can make purchases that get the job done now and upgrade to items that will be for the long run in the future. Having what you need on hand to begin your business venture is what is key.

Becoming an Affiliate Marketing Entrepreneur in Six Easy Steps

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

One of the premier vehicles of making extra money for any savvy webmaster is the use of affiliate links. As a successful affiliate of any number of businesses, it is up to you to promote businesses which may be either online stores or brick and mortar businesses with store fronts that offer products which might be of interest to the visitors who come to your site. In the past, you could tell who was heavily engaged in the affiliate marketing trade simply by the copious amount of flashing banner ads and pop up windows; at this point in time, marketing techniques have been greatly refined and the odds are good that many an affiliate marketer is marketing to you at this very moment perhaps without even noticing it!

Becoming an affiliate marketing entrepreneur in six easy steps is a good idea for any webmaster that is ready to enter the fray:

1. Understand the lingo of affiliate marketing. Like any other business it is fraught with abbreviations and whether you are dealing with PPC or PPS makes a huge difference in remuneration. Once you are familiar with the terminology, check for trends in these terms and you will most likely have a good chance at ferreting out what is hot and what is on its way out.

2. Craft a website that is not only user friendly but also search engine friendly. It is immaterial if this is a personal opinion blog site, an online magazine, a site that is created with the specific purpose of selling a good, or a promotional site for a celebrity. Whatever you choose to make the topic of your site, do it well, make the content sticky so that visitors will come back time and again, and then ensure that you go through all the steps of search engine optimization.

3. Entering the business as an affiliate marketing entrepreneur now requires that you find businesses with which you wish to affiliate yourself. The businesses should offer products or services of interest to the kinds of visitors your website receives and the remuneration scheme should be favorable to you. In other words, if you decide to affiliate yourself with a piano manufacturer who will pay $100 per sale, but requires you to have a $1,000 account balance prior to payout, you need to ask yourself how realistic it is to make 10 sales within a month or two. If this does not strike you as realistic, it is wiser to stay away.

4. Advertise your business and also the affiliate in newsletters, customer emails, and informative articles.

5. Track your success. Granted, most likely the company will do its own tracking of your sales and clicks, but it does not hurt to compile reports not only to double check for accuracy but also to explore trends and attempt new marketing campaigns.

6. Have the kind of flexibility to cut lose a program that does not perform. If one program is not making you any money, it is wise to drop it in favor of another one that holds better promise.

Five Reasons Why Affiliate Marketing Articles Generate Sales

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

Affiliate marketing articles generate sales and even though this medium has been overlooked until just recently, it is finally beginning to truly take off. Thanks in part to the freelance writers who create top notch content in which entrepreneurs can embed links at will, there are five reasons why affiliate marketing articles generate sales to such an extent as to even astound those who track online sales performance data for a living:

1. An article – as opposed to a banner ad or text link – enables the entrepreneur to put into about 400 to 500 words a plethora of reasons why the purchase of a product, use of a service, or choice of one company over another ensures personal satisfaction to the consumer. Much like the tried and true sales psychology of the 1980s that played on the fact that men sought to be admired while women wanted affirmation, affiliate marketing articles enable creative writers to generate these feelings in their readers and thus make your business stand out head, shoulders, and torso above the rest.

2. Affiliate marketing articles provide your company the unique opportunity to fulfill basic consumer needs, such as the assurance of pleasure and the avoidance of discomfort – either physical or fiscal. Tying together your product or company with a promise of gain or an assurance of safety from problems not only persuades potential clients to give your company a second look, but more often than not will spare you from being lumped in with the competition that has not yet caught on to the marketing opportunities offered by this medium.

3. “Free” is a word that no consumer can resist and if your affiliate marketing articles reference a freebie of any kind you can be sure that they get read! Offer a free coupon to a good or service from your business or perhaps a free e-book, stickers, or any other goodies that are cheap to manufacture and send out but create a sense of goodwill with your consumer base. The results are amazing and make your product irresistible!

4. Savvy entrepreneurs have used their affiliate marketing articles to fulfill the most basic human need of belonging to something greater than oneself. Thus, many such articles contain free membership offers to clubs or email groups, private chat rooms or action committees. In some cases marketers have chosen to offer exclusive membership to focus groups where for little if any remuneration the consumer would speak out on marketing trends and things that work and do not. This of course is highly profitable for the marketer and fulfills the basic need of belonging the consumer has, making your business the one website she or he will visit time and again.

5. Unlike banner ads or text links, affiliate marketing articles provide the perfect sales vehicle to deliver a deadline based pitch. Spell out over the course of 400 words why missing this once in a decade sale will be the bane of their existence, and before long you find that sales are increasing dramatically!

Finding Out Who Really Owns Your Business

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

Every home business owner loves the idea of owning their own business, but after a while it may become apparent that although their name is on the door and they are accountable for every legal aspect of the business, they may not be the actual owner. Whether you have accepted a business offer from an online customer, bought into a franchise or accepted investments from friends or relatives, the ownership or your home business has may be filled with some wrinkles.

In the online business world, you have probably seen the offers to sign up with a company to run your own business. Even though your name or the name of your business will be on the website, it is still owned by the main company. You are nothing more than a distributor for their products or services and without choice are following their business model, selling their products at pre-set prices and earning what the company says you are going to earn.

That is not to say it is a bad thing, but many people who join these companies delude themselves into thinking they are business owners. You will not be able to make any changes on the website, nor will you be able to still anything that is not from the main company and in a majority of these businesses you will not be allowed to adjust pricing. The only thing you can control is how much money you spend on marketing this new business venture.

Franchising in an excellent way to open a business, whether brick and mortar or strictly online, but it presents a similar situation for the franchise business owner. Fess will be charged to take advantage of any national advertising campaigns and you are restricted to using only products bought from them or their authorized distributors. Again, your name will be right up there as owning the franchise for the business, but the business itself.

Funding for a new business can be difficult, with a few choices available. If you have managed to save money over several years to fund your own start-up business and accept money from no outside sources, then you are truly the business owner. If you take money from investors, they may believe they have a say in how the business operates as they want to protect their investment and if you max out your credit cards to fund your new business, then it is owned jointly by you and the credit card companies.

One mistake many new business owners make is asking for loans from relatives to get their business up and running. While it may seem like a good idea at the time, conversation at holiday gatherings will go in the same direction as the business. If business is good and everyone is making some money from their investments then holiday meals can be a happy and fun time. Conversely, if business is not going as well as expected, turkey may not be the only thing discussed at the family Thanksgiving meal.

The Popularity of Work from Home Customer Service Jobs

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

As more and more businesses are discovering the benefits of hiring people to work from home, the number of jobs has increased. Customer service, appointment setting, and help desk positions are being offered to those who are willing to receive training needed to adequately answer customer questions and requests. From airline reservations to helping customers with electronics, there are plenty of positions available to those who want to work from home.

In order to qualify for a work from home position, you have to prove that you're qualified to perform all the daily tasks required of you. This usually means sending in a resume and cover letter, filling out an application, and participating in a phone interview. Because these types of positions require employees to be self-motivated, businesses screen all applicants carefully so they can choose the ones that will be the most dedicated to the job. Most positions require you to work a certain shift each day, cover shifts during the evening and on weekends when necessary, and be available for on-site training.

Additional requirements for these types of positions include having a dedicated phone line for work purposes, a computer with high speed Internet connection, a private work space that's away from children and other distractions, and a pleasant phone voice and demeanor that's necessary when dealing with disgruntled customers. Prior customer service experience may be necessary, but may not be for all positions available. If meet these criteria, then you may be a good candidate for this type of work.

Customer service positions are needed in many different industries from hospitality to insurance. You main task is to provide information to customers or help them sign up for services offered through your company. You may also have to track customer orders, help them return items or help them fix minor problems. Most positions are full-time with varied shifts so you can find a shift that fits into your lifestyle.

When looking for an at home job, you should verify that the job is legitimate. This can be done by visiting the Better Business Bureau website to see if any complaints have been filed against the company. You can also research the company online to find out information such as how long they have been in business, what they offer to customers, and the types of positions they typically hire for. This will give you a better idea of how to craft your cover letter as well.

If you are selected for an interview, you should find a quiet place to conduct this interview so you increase your chances of being hired. Answer all questions truthfully, speak naturally, and try to give a good first impression. You may be asked to read from a script so the interviewer can determine if you can communicate effectively with customers. If you will need special equipment, it will be sent to you after you accept the job offer. Most people are very happy working from home and helping others during the day.

Can You Build A Home Business On A PPC Affiliate Program?

Copyright © Steven Becker
http://www.TemplerMarketing.com

PPC is affiliate lingo for pay per click. In simplest terms, a PPC program option is one of the most sought after affiliate programs today, only surpassed by a favorable ad impression program. If you are accepted as a pay per click affiliate, you will get paid each and every time that a visitor to your site sees the affiliate link and clicks on it. This is a far cry from the old way of doing business where payment would only be rendered if the click led to an actual sale. Thus, pay per click is considered online to be one of the easiest ways of making money yet the questions of whether or not you can build a business on a PPC affiliate program is not as easily answered in the affirmative as you might think.

There are serious limitations associated with a pay per click affiliate program, first and foremost the need for visitors that will visit your website in droves. The payouts are ridiculously small and in order to truly capitalize on this kind of program, you visitors must decide by the hundreds and the thousands to click the links that have them leaving your site only to land on the affiliate business’ website. For smaller webmaster and also small business owners who rely on web traffic to sell their own products, this kind of affiliate program is the kiss of death. If you are successful in beefing up your website visitors but they leave your site to visit the other business, you may be remunerated with a couple of pennies for each visitor that does so, but conversely you do not know how many hundreds of dollars in sales you have lost on your site simply because you sent the visitor somewhere else.

Additionally, if you consider that those webmasters whose web traffic is more limited may not have so many folks clicking on the links and thus the payout may be delayed for months on end until a threshold is reached, the quick and ready cash that made these programs so desirable in the first place is not as achievable as was first assumed or perhaps represented by those all in favor of the program.

Yet it is still possible to build a business on a pay per click affiliate program if you have the savvy to set up a website with that stated goal in mind and have the wherewithal to execute it in such a way that the site will get copious visitors while at the same time be considered valuable enough to
